IndiGo pet policy
Probably not for ordinary pets. October 2026 reporting says IndiGo carries only guide dogs for blind passengers, but at least one booking site says it allows small pets in the cabin. Call IndiGo before you book.

Sources conflictBusiness Today (10 Oct 2026) reports that IndiGo permits only guide dogs accompanying blind passengers. HappyFares (Jun to Jul 2026) says IndiGo allows pets up to 7 kg in the cabin from Rs 4,000. We have not yet confirmed against IndiGo's own conditions of carriage.
Note: We lean towards the Business Today report because it is the more recent and HappyFares also wrongly says Air India does not allow cabin pets.

Confirm before you book
IndiGo's customer service is the final word. Pet bookings usually cannot be made through travel agents or booking sites; contact the airline after booking your own ticket.
Common questions
Can I take my dog on IndiGo?
Recent reporting says no, except guide dogs. Sources disagree, so confirm with IndiGo directly. Air India and Akasa Air both carry dogs and cats in the cabin up to 10 kg including the carrier.
