About ThePetPedia
ThePetPedia is an independent site, run from Bengaluru, that keeps track of the rules for flying and moving with dogs and cats to, from and within India.
We started it because the answers online disagree. In October 2026 one popular guide said Air India does not carry pets in the cabin, while Air India's own page publishes a cabin fee. When a wrong answer can cost months or ground your pet at the airport, you need to see where each rule comes from.
What we are not
We are not a government body, an airline, a vet or a relocation agency. We do not move pets ourselves.
How we are funded
If you ask us for relocation quotes and hire an agency we introduced, that agency may pay us a referral fee. That is our only income today. Details on how we make money.
