Dataset version 2026.10.20. Counts are generated from the data at build time. Next routes: India → Canada, India → UAE, India → Singapore, India → Germany.
The web disagrees with itself. We keep score.
Pet travel rules sit across government sites, airline tariffs and press releases, and they change. The pages people find copy each other, often wrongly. In October 2026 a popular booking blog said Air India does not carry pets in the cabin; Air India's own tariff, dated 9 Oct 2026, prices cabin pets at INR 7,500.
Every check we do, every conflict we resolve and every change we log becomes part of a dated history that a copy-paste site cannot recreate. That history is the product.

Yes, but dogs face the strictest rules of any common route. Plan for at least 2 months from the first rabies vaccine, and longer for a puppy. Cats are much simpler.
India → UK7 rules

India → Australia4 rules
Not directly. Australia does not accept dogs or cats straight from India. Your pet must first go to an approved country and complete Australia's preparation there, which takes at least 6 months.
Into India7 rules
Yes, up to two dogs or cats per passenger, with an advance NOC from the animal quarantine service (AQCS). Check eligibility first: for a transfer of residence you need proof of at least two years living abroad.

Yes. Dogs and cats up to 10 kg with the carrier can fly in the Economy cabin; 10 to 32 kg fly as checked baggage; heavier pets go as cargo.

Yes. Dogs and cats up to 10 kg with the carrier fly in the cabin; heavier pets go in the hold. Akasa has flown more than 10,000 pets since 2022.
AirlineIndiGo
Probably not for ordinary pets. October 2026 reporting says IndiGo carries only guide dogs for blind passengers, but at least one booking site says it allows small pets in the cabin. Call IndiGo before you book.
